Why I Built Something Different

When I entered the insurance industry, I saw what most agents see: a system designed to extract maximum value from agents while delivering minimum support. The MLM model wasn't just inefficient — it was predatory. Agents were recruited with promises of freedom and income, then systematically stripped of both through commission overrides, mandatory lead purchases, and a culture that valued recruiting over serving.

My military background gave me a different lens. In the service, you don't leave your people behind. You don't profit from their struggle. You build systems that make everyone stronger. When I looked at the MLM insurance model through that lens, I couldn't unsee what was wrong with it.

My gerontology training added another dimension. I understood that the people these agents were supposed to be serving — seniors navigating Medicare, Social Security, and retirement income — deserved agents who actually understood aging. Not just agents who'd been handed a script and told to "find the pain." Seniors deserve advisors who understand cognitive changes, financial vulnerability, and the ethical obligations that come with serving people in their most financially vulnerable years.

So I built something different. An agency where agents keep what they earn. Where training is real — not just recruiting scripts.
